Goodall & Son, London, 1883, from the Society Bijou Portraits Series, this No.21 and featuring Fred Archer as a caged bird, a reference to The Birdcage the old name for the paddock & parade ring at Newmarket Racecourse, mounted, framed & glazed 47 by 35cm.; sold together with a 1960s watercolour of Archer signed Gray, mounted, framed & glazed, 45 by 37cm., (2 items).
