comprising: A History of the English Turf by Theodore A. Cook in 3 volumes, with a library label for Hugh Cecil Earl of Lonsdale, and a later one for F.C. Espin, reasonably good condition, some scuffs and splitting to spines; the 2 vols set The History of White's, with the Betting Book from 1743 to 1878 and a List of Members from 1736 to 1892, numbered 182 from a limited edition of 500, published 1892, vol 1 with the front board detached; The Autobiography of Robert Standish Sievier, with a hand-written note inside from Sievier reading JUST TO WISH A VERY PRETTY LADY A CHEERY XMAS AND A LUCKY NEW YEAR, BOB SIEVIER; and Basil Briscoe's The Life of Golden Miller; the lot also including a poor copy of Modern Farriery by W J Miles (8 vols).
