George Best green and white No.7 Northern Ireland match worn long-sleeved shirt, 1965, OSM, with crew-neck collar and embroidered cloth badge inscribed IRISH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION areas of staining consistent with age
The Northern Ireland team at that period wore both round and v-neck collars, the shirt was given to the vendor by George's mother and he was a family friend, it was understood however, without provenance that the shirt related to the match against Holland played on 17th April 1965 in Rotterdam. The shirt is a period example and does show areas of match wear
