The medal awarded to Botham playing for Somerset against Sussex in the Gillette Cup Final played at Lord’s, 2nd September 1978, in their second appearance in a Gillette Cup Final, Somerset lost to Sussex by five wickets. Botham top scored in the match with 80, and took 2/65 of his twelve overs
