Sammy Lee a 9ct gold and enamel Liverpool v. West Ham United League Cup Winners medal, 1981, the obverse inscribed FOOTBALL LEAGUE CUP, the reverse inscribed WINNERS 1981

Liverpool recorded their first ever League Cup victory this season. In the final played on 14th March 1981 at Wembley, the teams drew the match 1-1, in the replay played on 1st April 1981 at Villa Park, Liverpool defeated West Ham 2-1
