FIFA World Cup Valuation Day

BUDDS Auctions are hosting a Valuation Roadshow in Sunderland's Stadium of Light where members of the public can bring along items of memorabilia for valuation and sale see the first 2026 World Cup Auction items consigned.

📍 The Riverview Brasserie, Stadium of Light - Thursday September 8th, 2 - 8pm. 

As part of the year long consignment, we at BUDDS will visit clubs that hosted 1966 World Cup Matches, where the public will get a chance to view some of the historical pieces. At the same time, if they have memorabilia they wished to be valued, specialists will be on hand and happy to advise.

The 2026 World Cup Auction itself takes place in June next year.

The opportunity to auction items such as Pele’s winners’ medal as the youngest World Cup goal scorer of all time, and Shilton’s match-worn shirt from the famous 1986 quarter-final - a match of both cultural and political significance.”

BUDDS has already consigned  lots from the best moments in World Cup history. Besides the Peter Shilton shirt in which he tried to defend Maradona's infamous 'Hand of God' goal in the England vs. Argentina 1986 World Cup quarter-final in Mexico, there is Pele's 1958 World Cup winners medal (valued at ÂŁ300,000 - ÂŁ500,000), along with medals and shirts from the iconic 1966 World Cup final from Gordon Banks, Alan Ball and Martin Peters.
