BUDDS World Cup 2026 Auctions

As football turns its eyes to the FIFA World Cup 2026, BUDDS is preparing the most significant series of World Cup memorabilia auctions ever assembled.

Three themed sales. Timed to the tournament. Built around pieces that defined the game.

The memorabilia market is at its strongest. Global attention is building. For collectors and former players considering a sale, the moment is now.

Running across the build-up and the competition itself (11 June - 19 July 2026), the series will be accompanied by VIP viewing events and a high-profile launch at the National Football Museum.

2026 also carries particular weight. It marks 60 years since England's 1966 World Cup triumph, and 40 years since the Hand of God. Two moments that still define football's history - and the centrepiece of what follows.

Three Landmark Auctions

1. 1966 and Beyond: The World Cup Legacy Collection - 2 June 2026

Sixty years on from England's finest hour, this auction celebrates the full sweep of World Cup history. Historic artefacts, match-worn memorabilia and rare collectables from tournaments across the decades - pieces that carry the weight of the game's greatest stage.

2. Moments That Made History - 10 June 2026

Some moments become global culture. This live auction brings together the artefacts behind them - including a 1958 World Cup winners' medal awarded to Pelé, a 1966 winners' medal awarded to Gordon Banks, and Peter Shilton's match-worn shirt and tournament cap from the 1986 Hand of God match.

3. The Fabric of Nations - 48 Match-Worn and Match-Issued Shirts - 1-21 June 2026

Football belongs to everyone. As we build The Fabric of Nations, we are seeking match-worn and match-issued shirts from all 48 World Cup nations across different eras. Together, they form 48 threads woven into the history of the game.
