The 1927 Derby winner Call Boy was a chestnut colt foaled in 1924 by Hurry On out of Comedienne. He won two other career races including the Middle Park Stakes and the Newmarket Stakes. Call Boy was owned by Mr F Curzon, trained by J E Watts and ridden by Charlie Elliott in The Derby.
