A Trigo racing plate, chromium plated and mounted on a velvet backboard with a photographic portrait of the racehorse and a name plaque, in an ebonised frame, 19 by 20cm., 7 1/2 by 8in. The 1929 Derby & St Leger winner Trigo was a bay colt foaled in 1926 by Blandford out of Athasi. He won four other career races including the Irish St Leger and the Anglesey Stakes. Trigo was owned by Mr W Barnett, trained by R C Dawson and ridden by J Marshall in The Derby and by M Beary in the St Leger.
