A collection of rugby programmes, comprising: 49 Leicester rugby union programmes, 1 pre-war v Blackheath 9.4.1938; four wartimes all played at Welford Road comprising a representative match Barbarians v Midlands XV 23.3.40, Army v RAF 13.2.43, Leicester v Barbarians 26.12.45 & Leicestershire & East Midlands XV v New Zealand Touring XV 31.1.46; and 44 Leicester programmes dating between seasons 1946-47 and 1960-61 (occasional aways), the majority 1940s, including county matches played at Welford Road also England v Wales schoolboy international 22.3.47, Leicestershire & East Midlands v Australia 15.11.47, and four Leicester v Barbarians 27.12.46, 27.12.51, 26.12.52 & 27.12.55; together with a quantity of other rugby union programmes including various England internationals at Twickenham from the late 1940s onwards, a few club issues from the late 40s, but most club issues typically 1970s (some earlier & some later) and tending to be clubs in the London region (a qty.)
