A very rare Matt Busby Manchester United team selection sheet from the Munich season 1957-58, signed by Busby, dated Monday 9th September 1957 and typed with the selections for the First and Second Teams to play Blackpool at Bloomfield Road and Old Trafford respectively, pin marks visible from when it would have been on the notice board at the ground United won the Football League fixture 4-0, with Whelan and Violett scoring two apiece. Busby's first team selection was Wood, Foulkes, Byrne, Colman, Blanchflower, Edwards, Berry, Whelan, Taylor, Violett & Pegg, with Whitefoot as reserve; the Second XI comprised Gaskell, Cope, P Jones, Goodwin, M Jones, McGuinness, Webster, Doherty, Dawson, Charlton and Scanlon, with Harrop and Carolan as reserves
