A copy of The Poetical Works of Geoffrey Chaucer with signed presentation inscription by the future England cricketer C T Studd, signed by Studd while at Cheam School in 1874, and dedicated to J K Tancock, the book later signed by C Tancock in 1904, the book by Thomas Tyrwhitt, published in 1871 Charles Thomas Studd played for England in the 1882 Test Match won by Australia which gave rise to the origins of 'The Ashes'. Away from the cricket field Studd was a Missionary and also wrote poems, his most famous being ''Only One Life, 'Twill Soon Be Past''.
