The trophy for the 1965 Doncaster Cup, a 9ct. gold trophy cup & cover by C J Vander Ltd., London, 1965, the bowl inscibed DONCASTER CUP, 1965, WON BY, PRINCE HANSEL, OWNER JABEZ BARKER, the reverse side engraved with the Doncaster Coat of Arms, the cover with an onyx finial, height 36cm., 14in., weight 1,250gr., 40oz. 3dwt. Prince Hansel was trained by David Thom and ridden to victory at Doncaster by David Yates, the Champion Apprentice jockey of 1963.
