1939 Wembley Speedway World Championship Round signed programme, the August 17th front cover bearing the pencil signatures of Cliff Parkinson & Frank Dolan, Vic Duggan above the list of competing riders on page 7, neat pencil results notation, fine condition The 1939 World Final was scheduled to take place at Wembley exactly three weeks after this event and 1936 World Champion Lionel Van Praag must have been favourite to take the title again having scored a maximum in this round. Unfortunately war was declared against Germany on September 3rd.
