An extremely unusual American photograph album with a Patent listing for 26th November 1895 and with tennis-themed decoration, holding 18 double-sided pages into which 72 varying sized cabinet cards can be inserted, the album is covered in a floral patterned plush/velvet material, to the two top corners are gilt-metal protective fittings the design of which feature crossed lawn tennis rackets, at the centre of the album, affixed to the front, is a gilt metal mounted vanity mirror in the shape of a lawn tennis racket, surmounted upon the form of a lawn tennis net and two tennis balls, the album which closes with a sprung clasp on the side slides onto a cleverly designed gilt metal base, which itself contains a draw to hold extra images, the inside appears to be totally unused and is in excellent condition (2)
