A Scottish Amateur Boxing Association (Midland District) Championships certificate 1959-60 awarded to Dick McTaggart of Dundee Amateur Boxing Club for the Light Weight Championship, signed by the SABA President and Hon. Sec., mounted together with an 8 by 6in. b&w portrait photograph, framed & glazed, 30.5 by 55cm., 12 by 21 1/2in. Dick McTaggart was a top amateur boxer who won a gold medal at the Melbourne 1956 Olympic Games, and also took gold at the 1958 Commonwealth Games in Cardiff. At Rome in 1960 McTaggart claimed a bronze Olympic medal.
