Marc-Vivien Fo?: a white Manchester City No.23 away jersey season 2002-03, short-sleeved, Premier League badges, the reverse lettered FOE Marc-Vivien Fo? tragically died on the football field playing for Cameroon in a FIFA Confederations Cup semi-final v Colombia 26th June 2003. He was 28. Manchester City manager Kevin Keegan announced that the No.23 shirt at the club would be retired in his honour. A minute's silence was held before the opening match at the new City of Manchester Stadium v Barcelona 10th August 2003 and a tribute plaque was erected at the stadium.
