A rare official's badge for the Harvard & Yale v Oxford & Cambridge athletics match in New York, 25th September 1901, the upper brooch bar inscribed in enamel JOINT COMMITTEE, the silk suspension printed with full details of the occasion, terminating in enamel Stars and Stripes and Union Jack flags, length 9cm, some damage to the silk, otherwise good The match was won by Harvard & Yale. Prior to this occasion Cambridge & Oxford had defeated a McGill, Toronto & Montreal Universities team in Montreal.
