WOOLDRIDGE, CAPTAIN, cased In the 1908 F.A. Cup Final played at the Crystal Palace Wolverhampton Wanderers defeated Newcastle United 3-1. The Cup was lifted by club captain Billy Wooldridge. Wooldridge spent almost his entire career at Molineux. Born in Netherton in 1878 the forward scored 81 goals in 328 League appearances between 1900 and 1911. In the latter part of his career Wooldridge switched position as a centre-back.
