The blue West Bromwich Albion shirt worn by Bert Trentham in the 1935 F.A. Cup Final, long-sleeved with white collar & cuffs, the embroidered silkwork badge bearing the West Bromwich municipal crest and inscribed 1934-35, the back of the neck with a tag inscribed in ink H. TRENTHAM The 1935 F.A. Cup Final was played at Wembley 27th April. Sheffield Wednesday defeated West Bromwich Albion 4-2. West Brom had equalized twice in the game before a late double-strike from Ellis Rimmer took the match away from them. Herbert Francis ''Bert'' Trentham (1908-1979) nicknamed ''Corker'' was a full-back born in Chirbury in Shropshire who joined West Bromwich Albion from Hereford United in April 1929. He helped the club gain promotion to the First Division and won a F.A. Cup winner's medal in 1931 and a runners-up medal in 1935. He then returned to Hereford for the final part of his career.
