UEFA Cup winner's medal season 1975-76, in continental yellow metal, inscribed UEFA, COUPE UEFA, 1976, in original fitted case In the 1975-76 UEFA Cup Liverpool progressed to the final with victories over Hibs, Real Sociedad, Slask, Wroclaw, Dynamo Desden and Barcelona in the semi-final. In the final Liverpool played FC Bruges and came from 2-0 down at Anfield to win 3-2 which proved enough after they drew the away leg 1-1. This was Liverpool's 2nd success in the UEFA Cup. David Fairclough played in both legs, from the start at Anfield and as a second-half substitute in Bruges.
