England 1939 Continental Tour cap awarded to Frank Broome of Aston Villa, blue England's 1939 Continental Tour consisted of matches v Italy in Milan 13th May, Yugoslavia in Belgrade 18th May and Romania in Bucharest 24th May. Aston Villa's Frank Broome (1915-1994) played in all three matches and scored the England goal in the 2-1 defeat in Yugoslavia. Either side England drew 2-2 with Italy and beat Romania 2-0. Broome won a total of seven caps as an England striker, scoring three goals.
