Cup winner's medal awarded to a Newcastle United player in 1955, 9ct. gold, inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, CHALLENGE CUP, WINNERS, undated but with a Birmingham hallmark date letter for 1954-55 The original recipient of this medal is unknown. In the 1955 F.A. Cup Final Newcastle United defeated Manchester City 3-1. The United goals were scored by Milburn, Mitchell & Hannah, with Johnstone striking for City on the stroke of half-time which at the time had drawn the clubs level.
