A group of six Danny Blanchflower playing contracts, i) dated 19th April 1949, Barnsley FC; ii) 12th May 1950, Barnsley FC; iii) 20th April 1954, Aston Villa FC; iv) 21st May 1955, Tottenham Hotspur FC; v) 27th June 1956, Tottenham Hotspur FC; & vi) 16th June 1958, Tottenham Hotspur FC; sold together with a framed autographed Spurs display, comprising a colour picture of the 1962 team mounted above the signatures of Blanchflower, Jones, Norman, Allen, White, Mackay & Brown, 36 by 30cm. (7) This lot includes Blanchflower's first contract in England, when he transferred to Barnsley from Glentoran in 1949 for a fee of ?6,000, and has representation of his three career Football League clubs, the others being Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
