A white polo helmet, originally owned by Major General John Frost Provenance: This polo helmet was acquired from Major General 'Johnny' Frost when he retired from polo in 1970. He had purchased it in 1934 in Baghdad for half a crown and wore it throughout his polo career playing all over the world during his distinguished army service, ending in Malta where he was G.O.C. and President of the Polo Club. He played his last chukka's at Cowdray Park, West Sussex after retirement from the army. He is best remembered as Major Frost who held ''The Bridge Too Far'' at Arnhem, the bridge was subsequently renamed in his honour.
