An interesting item of polo memorabilia being a match ball used in the England v USA Westchester Cup game played at London's Hurlingham Club in June 1921, hand painted inscription reading: INTERNATIONAL POLO, ENGLAND, AMERICA etc., now only partly legible, housed in a modern custom-made display cube, 13cm. square Westchester Cup, a trophy presented by the playing members of the Westchester Polo Club to be played for between American and Hurlingham teams. Officially known as the International Polo Cup, the oldest in the world of polo. Hurlingham Club founded in 1869 by Frank Heathcote as a social club, polo started in 1874. Main tournaments included the Champion Cup, Inter-regimental tournament, Whitney Cup.
