Buchanan (1870-1950), known as The Tout, worked as a sports cartoonist and caricaturist for the News of the World and Tatler in the 1930s and exhibited drawings at Walker's Gallery, London in 1931. Provenance: A gift to the Royal Jockey Joe Childs from H.R.H. The Princess Mary (later The Princess Royal), daughter of King George V and Queen Mary. Thence by family descent.
