Ireland v Wales British Home Championship b&w Welsh team photograph, 16th April 1947, 10 by 8 in. team photograph from the match played in Belfast by B. Clements Lyttle Studio Ltd, stamp to reverse, pencil monogram ALF Ireland beat Wales 2-1 and Trevor Ford scored for Wales. Also included in the Welsh side was 'king of the sliding tackles' Alf Sherwood who was capped 41 times for Wales between 1946 and 1956 and was once described by Stanley Matthews as the most difficult opponent he played against.
