Five Jeu de Paume leather balls, of spherical form with stitched seams, diameter 3cm., wear to leather exterior Jeu de Paume was a ball and court game originating in France and an indoor precursor of tennis. Played in its infancy without racquets, which were eventually introduced, it is a former Olympic sport,  now known as real tennis, court tennis or courte paume.
