Manson, Swann and Morgan, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, 1st May 1891, printed in Berlin, 77 by 65cm. overall, minor wear to frame and some foxing to etching. A pupil of Sir John Everett Millais, Archibald J. Stuart Wortley was a portrait and sporting painter of considerable renown. This limited edition photogravure, signed both by Wortley and the Doctor, is based on an oil painting commissioned by the M.C.C. in 1888-90 by means of subscriptions which now hangs in the Long Room at Lord's.
