Racing colours of the champion National Hunt owner the late David Johnson circa 2004, royal blue, green sleeves, white cap with green spots, formerly from the yard of the racehorse trainer Steve Golling. David Johnson was champion National Hunt owner in Britain on six occasions. His biggest win was with Comply Or Die in the 2008 Grand National. Other notable horses would include Well Chief, Celestial Gold, Our Vic, Cyfor Malta, Classified, It Takes Time, Liberman, Champleve, Take Control and Or Royal. David Johnson chose his colours to resemble those of the legendary flat race owner Robert Sangster, reversing the colours of body and sleeves and with an identical cap.
