Southern League representative medal awarded to the West Ham United goalkeeper George Kitchen for the Inter-League match v Ireland played at Upton Park 20th March 1911, in 9ct. gold & enamel (9gr.) inscribed SFL, INTER-LEAGUE FOOTBALL V IRELAND, MAR. 20th, 1911, SOUTHERN LEAGUE, 4 GOALS, IRISH LEAGUE, NIL, G. KITCHEN The Southern League won the match 4-0. George Kitchen joined West Ham United after a 7 year spell at Everton. He then made 184 League appearances for 'The Hammers'.
