Official pennant presented by the Austrian F.A. to the Football Association in 1923, red and white silk with elaborate metal wire inscription reading IN FRIENDLY REMEMBRANCE, THE AUSTRIAN FA 1923, with original metal hanging chain, markers tag for ERNEST KRICKL & SCHWEIGER of Vienna, 60 by 51cm. good condition Although not explicit from the inscription it is believed that this pennant was a presentation on the occasion of the first F.A. Cup Final at Wembley Stadium in 1923. Provenance: Consigned from the Bryan Horsnell Collection (lots 587 to 804).
