Official Scottish Football League pennant circa 1970, dark blue satin ground, with rampant lion crest and gilt wire inscription reading THE SCOTTISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE, original hanging bar, 42 by 29cm. This pennant would have been presented on the occasion of a Inter-League match between the Scottish Football League and the Football League. This long tradition of matches finally came to an end in 1976 as a result of the expansion of international football fixtures.
