Football League representative medal awarded to Everton FC's Joe Clennell for the match v Ireland at Anfield, Liverpool, 19th November 1919, 9ct. gold, Birmingham,1919, by Vaughton & Sons Ltd, obverse inscribed THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE ENGLAND v IRELAND with rose and shamrock emblems, reverse engraved ENGLAND v IRELAND ANFIELD ROD., LIVERPOOL NOV. 19TH 1919, J. CLENNELL, , oval with suspension ring, 30 by 21mm, weight 16gr., with original case with gilt tooled lid THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE.
The Football League drew with the Irish League 2-2, with Joe Clennell scoring one of the goals for the home side.
