Cup runners-up medal awarded to Middlesbrough's Clayton Blackmore, obverse with two footballers in relief above the three lion shield, inscribed THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION, reverse with THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION CHALLENGE CUP RUNNERS-UP, circular with suspension ring, hallmarked 9ct gold Birmingham 1997 by Fattorini & Sons, diameter 30mm., weight 22gms., in a fitted case with hinged lid gilt tooled FA CHALLENGE CUP RUNNERS-UP Chelsea defeated Middlesbrough 2-0. Clayton Blackmore played for Middlesbrough during 1994-99, making 53 appearances scoring four goals. The match was played at Wembley, 17th May 1997.
