1997 Coca-Cola Football League Cup runners-up medal awarded to Middlesbrough's Clayton Blackmore, silver & enamel, obverse with trophy cup in relief surrounded by THE COCA-COLA CUP in red enamel, reverse engraved RUNNERS UP 1997, shield shaped with suspension ring, hallmarked silver Birmingham 1997 by Vaughton & Sons, weight 13gms., 36 by 28mm., within a fitted case the hinged lid gilt tooled with logo and THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE Leicester City defeated Middlesbrough in the final replay 1-0. Clayton Blackmore played for Middlesbrough during 1994-99, making 53 appearances scoring four goals. The replay was held at Hillsborough, 16th April 1997.
