Stoke City won the 1926-27 FL Division Three (north) championship title with ease, accumulating 63 points - five clear of Rochdale FC. Walter Bussey was an inside-forward who signed for the club in March 1924 and made 185 League appearances for Stoke City, scoring 46 goals. He later had spells at Blackpool, Swansea Town and Exeter City.
