A gold tone metal tribute plaque mounted on blue felt presented to Pelé by Nei Eduardo Serra Municipal prefect of Cubatão, Brazil. The plaque is inscribed (translated) "Through the ball, a symbol of our country, has become the king of football and athlete of the century/ A tribute from the community of Cubatão/ for his love, dedication, and incentive of Brazilian sport through his defense of children of all races and permanent promotion of the region of Baixada Santista (Santos)."
