Three winning jockey’s trophies presented to Pat Eddery for victories in Italy, i) on Baudelaire in the 1976 Premio Tevere at Capannelle, Rome, in the form of a continental silver plated salver, inscribed with the race details, diameter 23cm., scratches, some wear to plating and a ding to border; ii) on Beldale Concorde in the 1983 Premio Nearco at Capannelle, Rome, in the form of a white metal & enamel plaque, inscribed with race details, 12 by 18cm., in blue cloth covered case, 23 by 27cm.; iii) on King Of Clubs in the 1985 Premio Emilio Turati at San Siro, Milan, in the form of a boxed continental silver-plated plate, inscribed with race details, diameter 18cm., minor surface scratches At the time the Premio Tevere was a Group 2 two-year-old race, which has been subsequently downgraded to a Group 3 and renamed the Premio Guido e Allesandro Berardelli and is run in October over 9f. The Premio Nearco winner Beldale Concorde was an American-bred bay colt (1980) by Super Concorde. King of Clubs was a chestnut colt (1981) by Mill Reef out of Queen Pot (Buckpasser). He won 9 races from 14 starts. The Premio Emilio Turati was later renamed the Premio Carlo Vittadini, with a connection to Eddery of course being the owner of Grundy. It is a G3 contest ran over a mile. Pat Eddery won it two years in succession, with victory on Efisio in 1986.
