A Penova Italy v. England Official match used ball, 16th May 1948, the yellow leather ball with printed manufacturer's marks, inscribed in biro ENGLAND ITALY, TURIN MAY 16TH 1948, also bearing various autographs now very faded and deflated
England recorded a stunning 4-0 victory over Italy in Turin which is arguably one of England's greatest victories on foreign soil with Italy being double reigning World Champions and Olympic Champions. The ball was kept by Arsenal's Laurie Scott as a memento of the game
