A pair of racing plates worn by the champion racehorse Alleged in 1977 and 1978,
mounted on a wooden backboard below a Richard Stone Reeves print of Alleged with Lester Piggott up, the plates with brass insets inscribed PLATE WORN BY ALLEGED, CHAMPION OF EUROPE 1977 and PLATE WORN BY ALLEGED, CHAMPION OF EUROPE 1978, the reverse with two framed & glazed signed letters of authenticity, one from trainer Vincent O'Brien, the other signed by the Ballydoyle Racing Secretary Denis Hickey on the trainer's behalf, both letters were addressed to the famous horse racing memorabilia collector John A Davies in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, dated 24th October 1977 and 11th September 1978
