Lester Award: The Jockeys’ Association of Great Britain Flat Race Jockey of the Year Award presented to Pat Eddery in 1996,
in the form of a Philip Blacker bronze sculpture of a jockey, signed with initials and dated ’91, golden patina, set on a black stone plinth set with plaque with presentation inscription, height 40cm., good condition
In 1996 Pat Eddery tied as Jockey of the Year with Frankie Dettori. Pat Eddery had been crowned Champion Jockey, but of course this was also the year of Frankie's 'Magnificent Seven' at Ascot.
