Pat Eddery racing saddle
That’s a wrap! We've reached the end of the auction and we’re busy tying up final bids behind the scenes. Thanks for being part of it — we’ll be in touch soon.
Pat Eddery racing saddle,
a red leather lightweight jockey's racing saddle, the underside with the initials P.E. in black marker pen
This saddle was donated to a charity auction by Pat Eddery where it was purchased by the present vendor. The saddle was mounted with a brass plaque bearing Eddery's engraved signature and inscribed "Saddle used by me on Trempolino in the Arc de Triomphe 1987. However, this should be ignored as Eddery used a black leather saddle on that particular occasion. However, there are many examples of colour press photos showing Eddery using a red leather saddle during his illustrious career. So what is being offered here is a genuine Pay Eddery used jockey saddle but with race specifics unknown.
