the large ledger containing manuscript lists of society attendees, sometimes grouped together in parties hosted by the Duke of Portland, the Earl of Wharncliffe, the Earl of Harewood, the Earl of Scarborough, Earl Fitzwilliam, Lord Derwent, Lord St Oswald, Lord Auckland, Lord Londesborough and other prominent Turf personalities of the day, lists of committee admitted members, account records of annual subscriptions, all compiled in neat handwriting in ink, over 200 pages
