The trophy for the Green Howards Cup ran at York in 1984,
in the form of a bronze figure of a Green Howards Drum Major by the sculptor Peter Hicks, set on a circular wooden base applied with a plaque reading GREEN HOWARDS CUP, WINNING OWNER, YORK 6th SEPTEMBER 1984, height 25.5cm.
This race was won by Bespoke, a Major Hern home-bred, ridden by Willie Carson.
