the compiler being Alfred Henry Carter of the Royal Horse Artillery, the album with pasted racecards for Isle of Wight Hunt Steeple Chases 1881 and also on the island The Castle Club - Valley of Ashley in 1883 & 1886, Chandler's Ford & South Hants Steeple Chases 1883 & 1885, Aldershot Divisional Races 1883, the Royal Artillery Steeplechases on Plumstead Marshes in 1884, the Mid-Kent Hunt Steeplechases 1886, West Kent Point-to-Point Steeple-Chases 1889 & 1890, Southdown Hunt near Lewes 1889, and other for East Sussex Hunt, Royal Artillery Drag Hunt, Hambleson Hunt Club, etc.also hand written notes regarding fixtures and entries, also printed press reports of the races, some original photographs presumably of Mr Carter race riding, then loos a number of racecards for colonial meetings in Miyanoshita, Kaisar-I-Hind (Suez), Kalabagh; also a member's ticket for Victoria Racing Club, undated, Mr Carter evidently appeared in Amateur Dramatics as he is listed on theatre handbills, and further miscellaneous content; sold together with a book (rebound) The Jockey Club's New Estate, Cheveley Park, Newmarket, 1920
