Hair and racing plate presentation from the legendary Irish steeplechaser Arkle,
the lock of hair and racing plate mounted on a wooden board/frame together with a colour photograph of Arkle signed by Anne, Duchess of Westminster and dedicated to J.A.D. [John A. Davies] who composed horse racing poetry including verse on Arkle; the lot also containing three hand-written postcards, featuring Loch Stack and Arkle, from Anne, Duchess of Westminster to Mr Davies, the backboard also with a signed letter from trainer Tom Dreaper to Mr Davies that accompanied the receipt of Arkle's hair for which Davies made a donation to the local Athletic Club in Ireland, 49 by 41cm.
