The above represent one of the greatest moments in the Greenock's club history when they reached their first-ever Scottish Cup Final, they took on Rangers at Hampden Park on the15th April 1922, Jimmy Gourlay scoring from a free kick the only goal of the game, giving Morton a 1-0 victory and their historical first and to date only Scottish Cup win
