The above cap represents Govan's International debut and 2nd appearance for Scotland. In the match against Wales played on 12th November 1947 at Hampden Park, Wales defeated Scotland 2-1 and in the match against England played on 10th April 1948 at Hampden Park, England defeated Scotland 2-0
